This site is dedicated towards the research of classical Ithna `Ashari Imami Shiism. We will be including, in sha Allah, translations from the hadith (narrations from the Fourteen Ma`sumeen صلوات اللّه عليهم), works of fiqh (jurisprudence), kalam (theology), tarikh (history), tafsir (exegesis of the Holy Quran), and rijal (study of the narrators found in the transmission chains of the hadiths). Much of the translations here should be treated as in progress and subject to revision. See Site Conventions for more details. See recentChanges for the latest updates to the site. See the sitemap for a list of site content. All content from this site may be reproduced but with due credit to the website in the form of a hyperlink to the page the material is sourced from. Hadith of the Day
Abu ‘l-Jarud from Abu Ja`far عليه السلام regarding His saying “Your Lord has neither forsaken you nor hates you” (93:3) And that is that Jibra’il عليه السلام had become delayed in coming to the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وآله. And the first sura that was sent down was “Recite by the name of your Lord who created” (96:1), then he became delayed in coming to him. So Khadija رضى الله عنها said “Maybe your Lord has abandoned you, so He is not sending to you.” So Allah تبارك وتعالى sent down “Your Lord has neither forsaken you nor hates you” http://www.tashayyu.org/tafsir/abu-jarud/ad-duha |
