The man who janāba afflicts while he has of water what he (can) do wuḍū with

900 – Ibn Jurayj said: I said to ʿAṭā: A man who is in a journey and janāba has afflicted him, while he has with him the amount of water whereby he can do wuḍū for the prayer.

He said: So he is to do wuḍū with it.

901 – Maʿmar from ʿAmr b. ʿUbayd from al-Ḥasan regarding a man whom janāba afflicts while in a journey, and he does not have with him of water save for what would be the amount for his wuḍū for the prayer.  He does wuḍū with it and does not do tayammum.

Maʿmar said: That he does wuḍū and tayammum is more pleasing to me.
