The remaining drink (su’r) of the mouse

277 – From a man of Basra that ʿAmr b. ʿUbayd said to al-Ḥasan: I put down my wuḍū water and the mouse comes and drinks from it.  al-Ḥasan said: Pour it out for the wanton sinner (al-fāsiqa) does not drink from anything but that it urinates in it.  Tawba mentioned it from Shadīd b. Abi ‘l-Ḥakam.
