Wuḍū from the ḥadath

526 – Ibn Jurayj said: I said to ʿAṭā: A drop that came out of urine.

He said: Do wuḍū from it, it is a ḥadath (an occurrence that breaks the wudu).

527 – Ibn Jurayj said: ʿAṭā said: Do wuḍū from every ḥadath of urine, and excretion, and the noiseless flatus, and the flatus with noise, and from every ḥadath that comes out from the person.

528 – Ibn Jurayj said: I was narrated to from ʿAlī b. Sayyāba that the Prophet صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said: (If) someone has a noiseless flatus or had a flatus with noise then he is to repeat the wuḍū.

529 – Maʿmar reported to us from ʿĀṣim b. Sulaymān from Muslim Sallām from ʿĪsā b. Ḥiṭṭān from ʿAlī b. Ṭalq that the Messenger of God صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said: When one of you has had a noiseless flatus or had a flatus with noise then he is to do wuḍū, for God is not ashamed of the truth.

530 – Maʿmar from Hammām b. Munabbih that he heard Abū Hurayra saying: The Messenger of God صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said: God does not accept the prayer of someone who has had a ḥadath until he does wuḍū.

He said: A man from the people of Hadhramaut said to him: What is the ḥadath, O Abū Hurayra?

He said: A noiseless flatus or a flatus with noise.

531 – ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. ʿAmr from al-Awzāʿī from Wāṣil from Mujāhid.  He said: The Messenger of God صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ found an odor while his companions were with him.

So he said: From whoever this odor came out from, then he is to do wuḍū.

Its owner was ashamed and did not get up until he said it thrice.  So no one got up.  So al-ʿAbbās b. ʿAbd al-Muṭṭalib said: O Messenger of God, shall we all do wuḍū?

532 – al-Thawrī from Hishām b. ʿUrwa from his father.  He said: The Messenger of God صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said: When one of you has a ḥadath in his prayer, he is to take hold of his noise, then, he is to depart.
