47 – Hishām b. Ḥassān from al-Ḥasan.  He said: If you forgot the wiping and you found wetness in your beard, then wipe your head with it.

48 – Ibn Jurayj from ʿAṭā and al-Thawrī from Mughīra from Ibrāhīm likewise.  al-Thawrī said: And other than him used to consider water from other than him (or: it) to be desirable.  Sufyān said: Muṣʿab b. Saʿd related it.

49 – Isrā’īl b. Yūnus from Mūsā b. Abī ʿĀ’isha.  He said: I heard Muṣʿab b. Saʿd and a man asked him and said: I do wuḍū and I wash my face and my forearms, so does what is in my hands suffice me for the head or do I bring new water for my head?  He said: No, rather bring new water for your head.
