Wuḍū from hot water

675- أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ كَانَ يَغْتَسِلُ بِالْمَاءِ الْحَمِيمِ


675 – Maʿmar reported to us from Zayd b. Aslam from his father that ʿUmar b. al-Khaṭṭāb would do ghusl with hot water.


676- عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يَتَوَضَّأُ بِالْمَاءِ الْحَمِيمِ‏.‏


676 – Maʿmar from Ayyūb from Nāfiʿ that Ibn ʿUmar would do wuḍū with hot water


677- عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، قَالَ‏:‏ أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ‏:‏ لاَ بَأْسَ أَنْ يُغْتَسَلَ بِالْحَمِيمِ وَيُتَوَضَّأُ مِنْهُ‏.‏


677 - ʿAbd al-Razzāq said: ʿAṭā reported to me that he heard Ibn ʿAbbās saying: There is no harm with doing ghusl with hot (water) and doing wuḍū with it.


678- عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ قُلْتُ لِعَطَاءٍ‏:‏ يُكْرَهُ أَنْ يُغْتَسَلَ بِالْمَاءِ الْحَمِيمِ وَيُتَوَضَّأَ بِهِ‏؟‏ قَالَ‏:‏ لاَ‏.‏


678 – Ibn Jurayj, he said: I said to ʿAṭā: Is it disliked to do ghusl with hot water and to do wuḍū with it?  He said: No.
