Wiping with the kerchief

706 – Ibn Jurayj said: ʿAṭā was asked about the fringed kerchief, does the man wipe the water with it?

So he refused to permit it.  And he said: It is something innovated.

I said: (How) you regard if I want the kerchief to remove the coldness of the water from me?

He said: Then there is no harm with it.
