845 – Maʿmar from al-Zuhrī.  He said: When the man has done wuḍū upon his khuffs, then takes them off, his wuḍū has been broken.

846 – And I heard al-Thawrī saying regarding the one who takes off one of his khuffs, he said: For to wash both of his feet is preferable to us.  Someone from us says: He washes his foot.  And the other saying is preferable to us.  al-Thawrī said: When you have taken off the khuff from the place of wiping, wash the foot.

847 – And I heard al-Thawrī regarding a man who wore khuffs, and over the khuffs were two other khuffs, then he wiped upon the top khuffs, then he took them off while the bottom khuffs remained.  He said: The wuḍū was been broken when he took off the top khuffs which was the wiping upon.

849 – al-Thawrī, he said: It has reached me from al-Ḥakam and Ibrāhīm that when they would want to urinate while they had wuḍū, they wore khuffs then rose and urinated, then they did wuḍū and wiped upon the khuffs.

850 – al-Thawrī from Ibn Abī Laylā.  He said: When you have taken them off repeat the wuḍū.
