What the man says when he has entered the washroom

He said: When the Prophet صَلَّى الله عَلَيه وسَلَّم would enter the privy, he said: aʿūdhu billāhi mina ‘l-khubuth wa ‘l-khabā’ith (I seek refuge with God from the male and female devils – or: wicked and noxious things).

3 – Muḥammad b. Bishr al-ʿAbdī narrated to us form ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. ʿUmar.  He said: al-Ḥasan b. Muslim b. Yanāq narrated to me from a man from the companions of ʿAbdullāh b. Masʿūd.

He said: ʿAbdullāh said: When you have entered the washroom and you want to uncover, say: Allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika mina ‘r-rijsi ‘n-najisi wa ‘l-khubthi wa ‘l-khabā’ith wa ‘sh-shayṭāni ‘r-rajīm (O God, I seek refuge in You from the unclean impure, and the male and female devils (or: wicked and noxious things), and the accursed Satan).
