Regarding the wuḍū with heated water

255- حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عْن أَبِيهِ؛ أَنَّ عُمَرَ كَانَ لَهُ قُمْقُمٌ يُسَخَّنُ لَهُ فِيهِ الْمَاءُ‏.‏


255 – ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. Muḥammad al-Darāwardī narrated to us from Zayd b. Aslam from his father that ʿUmar had a copper vessel (qumqum) in which the water would be heated for him.


257- حَدَّثَنَا إسْمَاعِيلُ ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، قَالَ‏:‏ سَأَلْتُ نَافِعًا عَنِ الْمَاءِ السُّخْنِ‏؟‏ فَقَالَ‏:‏ كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَتَوَضَّأُ بِالْحَمِيمِ‏.‏


257 – Ismāʿīl b. ʿUlayya narrated to us from Ayyūb.  He said: I asked Nāfiʿ about heated water.  So he said: Ibn ʿUmar used to do wuḍū with hot water.


259- حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ حدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ‏:‏ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ‏:‏ إنَّا نَدْهِنُ بِالدُّهْنِ وَقَدْ طُبِخَ عَلَى النَّارِ، وَنَتَوَضَّأُ بِالْحَمِيمِ وَقَدْ أُغْلِيَ عَلَى النَّارِ‏.‏


259 – Muḥammad b. Bishr narrated to us.  He said: Muḥammad b. ʿUmar narrated to us.  He said: Abū Salama narrated to us.  He said: Ibn ʿAbbās said: Indeed we anoint with ointment and the fire had cooked it, and we do wuḍū with hot water and the fire had boiled it.


260- حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ قُرَّةَ، قَالَ‏:‏ سَأَلْتُ الْحَسَنَ عَنِ الْوُضُوءِ بِالْمَاءِ السُّخْنِ‏؟‏ فَقَالَ‏:‏ لاَ بَأْسَ بِهِ‏.‏


260 – Wakīʿ narrated to us from Qurra.  He said: I asked al-Ḥasan about wuḍū with heated water.  So he said: There is no harm with it.


263- حَدَّثَنَا قَاسِمُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ لَيْثٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، أَنَّهُ كَرِهَ الْوُضُوءَ بِالْمَاءِ السُّخْنِ ‏.‏


263 – Qāsim b. Mālik narrated to us from Layth from Mujāhid that he disliked the wuḍū with heated water.
