Who would do wuḍū whenever he prayed

303 – Yaḥyā b. Saʿīd narrated to us from Masʿūd b. ʿAlī from ʿIkrima.  He said: Saʿd said: When you have done wuḍū, pray with your wuḍū so long as you have not had a ḥadath.  And ʿAlī said: When you have risen to the prayer, wash your faces and your arms (or: hands).

304 – Wakīʿ narrated to us from Ibn ʿAwn from Ibn Sīrīn.  He said: The Khulafā would do wuḍū for every prayer.

305 – Yazīd b. Hārūn narrated to us.  He said: Ḥammād b. Zayd reported to us from Hishām b. Ḥassān from Muḥammad.  He said: Abū Bakr, ʿUmar, and ʿUthmān – in what Abū Khālid knows – would do wuḍū for every prayer.  So when they were in the masjid they would call for the basin.
