What has been mentioned regarding recitation behind the imām

Muḥammad said: I asked ʿAbdullāh b. Mūsā about recitation (al-qirā’a) behind the imām.  So he regarded that there is recitation in what he silently recites, namely the imām.

And thus did Aḥmad b. ʿĪsā regard.

And it is also the saying of Qāsim b. Ibrāhīm, regarding that there is recitation behind the imām in what he silently recites.  And Qāsim disliked recitation behind the imām in what he audibly recites with the recitation.

Qāsim said: He commanded (or: It was commanded) to listen and pay attention, and when one has recited he has not listened or paid attention.

Muḥammad said: And I discussed recitation behind the imām with Abū al-Ṭāhir, so he regarded the recitation to be in what he silently recites, while he disliked recitation behind the imām in what he audibly recites.

And that has been mentioned from ʿAbdullāh b. al-Ḥasan.
