Chapter 24

Amir al-Mu’mineen عليه السلام saw what the Messenger صلى الله عليه وآله saw in the Night Journey

1 – Muhammad b. `Isa from Abu `Abdillah al-Mu’min from `Ali b. Hassan b. `Ali al-Jammal from Abu Dawud as-Sab`i from Burayda al-Aslami from the Messenger of Allah He said: The Messenger of Allah said: O `Ali, Allah caused you to be present with me (at) seven places – until he mentioned the second place: Jibra’il came to me and made me journey by night to Heaven.  So he said: Where is your brother?  So I said: I left him behind me.  He said: So he said: So pray to Allah to bring him to you. He said: So I prayed, and all of a sudden you were with me.  So the seven Heavens and the seven Earths were removed for me until I saw their denizens and their inhabitants and the place of every angel from them.  So I did not see anything but that you saw it as I saw it.
