Chapter 29

The Imams know whatever is in the Heavens and the Earth, the Garden and the Fire, and whatever is between that

1 – Muhammad b. `Abd al-Jabbar from Mansur b. Yunus from Hammad al-Lahham.  He said: Abu `Abdillah عليه السلام said: We, by Allah, know whatever is in the Heavens and whatever is in the Earth and whatever is in the Garden and whatever is in the Fire and whatever is between that.  He said: So I was astounded, looking at him.  He said: So he said: O Hammad, indeed that is from the book of Allah, indeed that is from the book of Allah, indeed that is from the book of Allah.  Then he recited this aya “And the day We shall raise up from every nation a witness against them from amongst them, and We shall bring you as a witness against these ones. And We have sent down on you the Book as an exposition everything, and as a guidance and a mercy, and as good tidings to those who surrender.” (16:89) Indeed it is from the book of Allah, in it is an exposition of everything, in it is an exposition of everything.
