Chapter 30

Someone who was a believer, then became an unbeliever, then believed, his act in his preceding faith is not nullified

1 – Muḥammad b. al-Ḥasan by his isnād from al-Ḥusayn b. ʿAlī from ʿAlī b. al-Ḥakam from Mūsā b. Bakr from Zurāra from Abū Jaʿfar

He said: Someone who was a believer and performed ḥajj, and acted during his faith, then a strife (fitna) afflicted him in his faith and he become an unbeliever, then he repented and believed.

He said: Every righteous act which he did in his faith is reckoned for him, and nothing of it is nullified.

I say: And the apparent level (al-ẓāhir) of the ayāt of repentance indicates upon that and its aḥādīth and other than it, and God knows best.
