1

1 – O people, fear your Lord, who created you of a single soul, and from it created its mate, and from the pair of them scattered abroad many men and women; and fear Allah by whom you demand one of another, and the wombs; surely Allah is watching over you.

[Tafsir al-Hibari] `Ali b. Muhammad narrated to us. He said: al-Husayn b. al-Hakam al-Hibari narrated to me.  He said: Hasan b. Husayn narrated to us.  He said: Hibban narrated to us from al-Kalbi from Abu Salih from Ibn `Abbas regarding His saying “and fear Allah by whom you demand one of another, and the wombs; surely Allah ever watches over you.”  It was sent down regarding the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وآله and his Ahl al-Bayt and his womb relatives, and that is that every connection (sabab) and lineage (nasab) will be cut on the day of the resurrection except for what is from his connection and his lineage.  “surely Allah is watching over you” meaning: preserving (hafizh).
